What is Online Safety?
The National College states; In simple terms, online safety refers to the act of staying safe online. It is also commonly known as internet safety, e-safety and cyber safety. It encompasses all technological devices which have access to the internet from PCs and laptops to smartphones and tablets.
The internet is an exciting place and opens a lot of opportunities for us, however, we need all young people to be aware of both the good and the bad and how we navigate this with the help and support of trusted adults.
In all our schools in The Weald Federation, we are committed to teaching our children how best to learn and grow up using technology in a safe and respectful way. Knowing what to do when something goes wrong and speaking to trusted adults to help and support no matter what.
